Meet Lucy

Lucy has always lived at home with her parents. Before coming to Ability Beyond Disability she didn’t have very much interaction with other people…she was very shy and hesitant. Lucy began working at Sealed Air through Ability Beyond Disability’s group supported employment program…and she made an incredible transformation. When she first started at Sealed Air Lucy was withdrawn and needed prompting from her job coach to accomplish her tasks, but in just a few months of interactions with her co-workers she became more social and began working more independently. In fact, Lucy no longer requires prompting from her job coach at all and she has even requested to switch to an independent working environment! Soon she will begin the interview process for an individual placement.

Lucy has grown so much through her job at Sealed Air and with the help of Ability Beyond Disability she will continue to grow and become more independent with each passing day!
