What We Do

    Community Living Supports

    A group living arrangement where staff is available up to 24 hours per day. The type of Community Living Support depends upon the individual’s needs and goals.

     ·        The goal is to support each person served by developing programs that help achieve satisfaction in the six dimensions of wellness: emotional, physical, spiritual, social, intellectual, and occupational.
     
    ·        The supports may include rehabilitation (PT/OT/ST), nursing, behavioral supports, and direct supervision by staff.
     
    ·        Depending on the program, goals may include building adaptive living skills, monitoring health, aging, safety, medications, finances, recreation, prevocational skills and employment.





Meet John When John was born in 1933, children with Down syndrome did not live at home, but his parents wouldn't have it any other way. As John grew up he required more support and eventually came to Ability Beyond Disability where he began to build a life for himself.
